How much does a million views on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts cost? With influencers, the price depends on their rate card and mood. With targeted ads, it's all about the auction. We dug into the real numbers from six banner campaigns on Prime Oracles to see what brands paid, the views they got, and what it all means. We're keeping the brand names confidential, but we'll share their niches.
How Banner Campaigns Work
Brands don't have to shoot videos, write scripts, or negotiate with creators one by one. They just do one thing: provide a ready-made banner, which is an image or a video overlay.
From there, short-form video creators take their own high-performing content—like movie and show clips, memes, life hacks, or reaction videos—add the banner as an overlay, and post it. The brand pays only for actual views and manually approves every video.
Typical video requirements:
- Vertical video, 30–60 seconds, 720p quality or higher;
- The banner must be visible for at least 70% of the video's duration and not obscure the creator's face;
- A mandatory hashtag and a link in the creator's profile bio.
If a requirement is violated, the payout for that video is automatically reduced by a penalty amount set by the brand in advance. For example, a 40% reduction for a missing hashtag or a 50% reduction if the banner is poorly visible.
Six Campaigns by the Numbers

| VPN service #3 | $0.10 | $64 | 826,428 |
| Dating app | $0.10 | $28 | 290,853 |
Data from August–September 2026. The last three campaigns were still active at the time of this analysis.
Total: around 125 million views for $9,200. On average, that’s about $73 per million views.
Crypto Exchange: 94M Views and a Returning Client
This was the largest campaign. The rate was $0.07 per thousand views, and the final cost-per-view came out slightly lower, at $0.069.
The key takeaway here isn't just the numbers; it's the client's behavior. The brand topped up the budget three times during the campaign. After it ended, they came back a fourth time to launch a more expensive format: UGC videos featuring product stories at $1 per 1,000 views. Brands don't return and increase their spend on campaigns that aren't profitable.
VPN Service: Entire Budget Spent in 14 Days
At a rate of $0.08, a $2,002 budget turned into 23.4 million views. The campaign ran from July 30 to August 13, 2026, with creators using up the entire budget in just two weeks.
This case study answers a common question from brands: "Will we even get any views?" With a fair rate and a straightforward banner—yes, and quickly.
Small Budgets Work, Too
Campaigns with budgets from $28 to $418 generated anywhere from 290,000 to 5 million views at the same rate of about $0.10 per thousand. Banner campaigns don't require a huge budget to get started: you can begin with an amount you're comfortable experimenting with, see the results, and then scale up.
Takeaways for Brands
- A million views costs $70–$100. This is the price for reach, not sales. A banner exposes the brand to a wide audience but doesn't target it precisely.
- Rates below $0.07 don't work. Creators are reluctant to accept these tasks. For instance, a campaign with a rate around $0.02 per thousand had only spent 15% of its budget at the time of our analysis. Trying to save on the rate just means you won't get the views.
- Budget alone guarantees nothing. The speed of a campaign depends on the rate and how easy the brief is for creators to work with. Not every campaign picks up steam as quickly as the VPN service in this breakdown.
- Banners aren't for everyone. They work best for mass-market products with a low barrier to entry—VPNs, crypto exchanges, dating apps, streaming services, and other apps. For B2B, expensive or niche products, and regulated markets (banking, medicine, insurance), untargeted reach won't pay off.
What Creators Get
For creators, a banner campaign is the easiest way to earn money from views, since you don't have to shoot anything new. You take a video you were going to post anyway, add the banner, and get paid for the views you would have gotten regardless. At a rate of $0.07–$0.10, a million views earns a creator $70–$100 (the platform's 10% commission is only applied upon withdrawal).
Banner briefs can be found in the "Content Rewards" section on Prime Oracles. Brands can launch their own campaigns from the same place using the "Create Campaign" button.
